In Second Life (abbreviated to SL), Linden Lab is the developer, creator and producer of the extremely popular virtual online computer game known as Second Life.
Actually it is the San Francisco-based company that was responsible for both creating and owning Second Life, primarily acts like some kind of laissez-faire government in the very energetic economy system driven by its dedicated members.
The primary objective of Linden Lab is to take control of the flow of SL economy to run smoothly and also make money mainly by selling property or real estate, of which it can conjure an infinite amount of money. Linden Lab is also the origin of the L$ (short for the Linden Dollar) which is the SL official currency unit named after its creator, developer and owner.
